Our family pet...

While at the Caterpillar Parade we "adopted" a cocoon to take home and keep in a safe place until it was time for it to emerge. I'm not going to lie...I was a little worry about keeping this thing alive because they gave us strict instruction to take it home and put it in a cool, dark place. Well it eventually got to a cool, dark place...that is after we went and played at the park.

Thankfully, after a few days of waiting and watching our beautiful butterfly emerged. I think I was more excited then the kids (probably because it was actually alive). After breakfast, we took it outside and set it free. It took a good 10 minutes for it to fly away but the kids had a great time cheering it on. Avery named the butterfly but for the life of me, I cannot remember what it was.

While dad's out of town....

Kellen went out of town a few weeks ago and thankfully my parents invited me and the crew over to spend the weekend. Without the help, I think I would have gone crazy. Pop decided that he need to wash his truck Saturday afternoon and I not sure the twins really knew what he meant by help. Everyone ended up wet but it was fun!

Caterpillar Parade 2012

I grew up in the small town of Clinton, MS where everybody know everybody. It's great to go back with my kids so I can show them off take them to places where I hung out at when I was younger. Every year they have a the Caterpillar Parade where a lot of the town comes out and celebrates spring  complete with a kid's parade, magic show, shopping, crowning of the caterpillar queen and much more.

We had a great time and it was nice to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Before we left we went back to the park where Avery and Maddux got to seesaw for the first time. I have never really thought about it but twins are perfect for seesawing. They loved it and obviously had to be supervised. Zoey had a great time just watching.

Manic Monday

Well I haven't posted in a while so I must catch you up on what we have been doing!

We have been enjoying the wonderful weather outside.

Maddux has learned how to climb ladders which makes his dad very nervous but me very happy. I will have someone to ride roller coasters with!

He went almost to the top. I promise he was supervised.

We have been snuggling a lot. I get really sad when I think about how fast this little girl is growing. :(

This cannot be safe....

We have been having lunch with Pop. Girl loves her a straw.

Girl loves her some Pop.

We have gone to the Zoo.

We have gone to a birthday party and Avery actually enjoyed the jump house! Yay!!

The theme was Mario. The girls got princess crowns.

The boys got Mario hats.

We have seesawed for the first time!

Twins are the prefect match for seesawing. They loved it.

We have learned how to drink out of a sippy cup. Again...growing up to fast. :(

We have a new family pet that will be emerging from it's cocoon soon!

We "helped" Pop wash his truck!

Sweet baby blues.

We got extremely wet.

Clean baby.

We had a surprise birthday party for our pastor.

We have been practicing our letter writing.

AND......we have been CRAWLING. Yay, Zoey!!!

Zoey - 8 Months

Zoey Bug....You are EIGHT months old!

- You are so cute and a very content baby!
- You are wearing size 3 diapers and 9-12 month clothes.
- You have lots of rolls.

- You are so close to crawling that it is scary. Just tonight you went from a laying to sitting position. OMW....I'm not ready to chase after 3.
- You are rolling a lot more. It's still not your form of transportation but you do it when you have to.
- You are scooting everywhere.

- You drink 4 bottles a day. 3ish meals a day.
- You love Mum-Mums and puffs and are getting really good at picking them up and actually getting them to your mouth.
- You say baba, dada and mama. You are like to just say AHHHHH and you really love it when Avery repeats it.

- You love the jumpy, A and M's toys (A and M are learning to share...ya right...), and other babies.
- You are a bad napper but a good night sleeper.

Zoey,

You seriously are a very happy baby and sometimes I wish you would cry to let me know you are hungry or need to be changed. You little personality is coming out and it's been so fun to watch.

Love you,

Mom
