What we've been up to in our 11th month...
What have we been up to?? EVERYTHING. Here are some pictures to prove it.
Maddux and Avery LOVE the fridge. Every time I open the door I hear them coming around the corner. Don't you love how Avery is going after the beer? She is going to be just like her dad.
We've been to the North Pole (aka Bass Pro Shop). They did really well with Santa. All they wanted to do is play with Santa's beard. When we finally got them to look at the camera, they were annoyed that we would dare makes them look. It was fun though. We went with our friend's Parker and Brantley.
LOOK how sweet this face is. I love the fact that every time I look in this boys direction, he smiles. I know he won't do it forever so I am eating it up while I can. He also has 8 teeth now!!!
Avery with her super cute antlers. She now has 4 teeth. We are growing up!
Pop (great grand pop) came to visit and brought us a sweet ornament. They were so content in his arms and just stayed there for about 10 minutes. They have an obsession with beards. I think Pop also enjoyed it, too!
These pictures make me laugh! It was SOOOOO cold the day we took these pictures. Avery had been awake for awhile but Maddux had JUST woken up. Can you tell??
I got him out of the bed and took his picture. I didn't even brush his hair. haha...oh well...he is still cute.
I'm not sure what she is looking at but is super serious in this picture!

Christmas Cards 09
We have concurred Christmas Cards '09. It wasn't easy or pretty at times but we got some GREAT pictures!!! I didn't use this one for the final card but I thought it was SO funny/cute! I will post a picture of the actually card later after I have a chance to mail them out! I got these adorable onesies from Old Navy. The candy cane headband is also from Old Navy and I was amazed at how long Avery left it on! Don't they look TOOO cute!

Halloween
This year for Halloween, Maddux and Avery were Thing 1 and Thing 2! It was a homemade costume and I think it turned out very cute! G (Kellen's mom) bought the red pjs. I made the Thing 1 and Thing 2 patches and the wigs and there you have it....Thing 1 and Thing 2!
Once again, it's impossible to get a 'good' picture...
Tailgating!
A couple of weeks ago the babies got to experience tailgating at it's finest! We weren't allowed to bring our big trailer so my dad had to bring his work truck. After we took everything out of the back we used the back as a play pen and the babies LOVED it. It was also cold so they got to wear their adorable little hats!
Beautiful Fall Day
Maddux and Avery love to be outside so I decided that I would take some pictures and they turned out so cute. I am so glad that the babies love to be outside.
It looked like Maddux was reading this book...and maybe he was!
We are learning how to share at an early age. Maddux is actually really good at sharing but Avery throws a fit...typical girl...
Avery loving the grass....
and the leaves. I took about 45 leaves out of their mouths.
It's NEVER to early to start reading to your child...
10 months
A month has come and gone and the babies are another month older. How does it happen so fast!?! It's breaking my heart but it is so fun to see the babies grow up and become more curious! I do realize that these pictures are not the best but it is really hard to get a 'good' picture of these two because they are always on the move! SO...what's been going on this month:
Maddux Jett Farmer -
is the fastest crawling baby I have ever seen.
is walking around furniture.
has 7 teeth, almost 8!
loves things that make noise.
still play catch with himself.
is starting to figure out the sippy cup.
loves every type of food I have given him.

Hats
Before:
Look at those sweet little heads.
While I was putting away the twin's 3-6 month clothes I found their hats from the hospital. I thought it would be so funny to put them on now and see how much they have grown and BOY have they grown. Every time I look at the picture I crack up.
I also found these SUPER cute hates at Wal-mart and just had to have them for our trip to Tennessee this weekend. The high on Saturday is supposed to be 56!!! How great!
Avery doesn't mind her hat but Maddux is another story.

9 Months Doc Appointment
The babies had their 9 month well visit on Monday to make sure they are growing as they should. They also had to get their fingers pricked to make sure their blood counts were normal and everything looked great! They didn't even cry when the nurse pricked their finger! I was so proud. I took these pictures because the nurse put band-aids on their fingers and they were fascinated by them. Maddux is crying in the pictures because I wouldn't let him stick the band-aid in his mouth. On to the stats!
Maddux Jett Farmer
20 pounds, 29 1/2 inches long
Head circum: 48 cm
Skinny baby, big head (Estes family thing)!
Avery Clarke Farmer

What 9/11 means to me...
9/11 was a big day. It was my senior year of high school, 1st period Government class. I had NO idea what was going on and I had NO idea how it would change me. It didn't really change me until this year. Don't get me wrong, I was sad for the families who had lost someone but it didn't REALLY hit me until this year. Why? I have children. For me having children has really changed my outlook on life. Life is precious. Life is short. Life can change in a second. I now understand why my parents loved and held me so close.

We are doing really, really well...Maddux has 4 teeth now and I think (knock on wood) that we are done with teething for now. He is ALMOST crawling. He can get from point a to point b on his hands and knees he just adds a couple of belly flop in. Avery is doing wonderful also. She has been such a sweet baby while her brother has been teething. Good thing because I don't think I can handle two fussy, clingy babies. She has shown no interest in crawling. She would rather roll. We have been visiting with my brother, Michael, and his family, Julie, Jackson and Lorelei. It has been wonderful having them here. Wish they could stay forever.
One of my best friends, Christi, came over the other day and took some cute pictures of the twins.
I hope everyone is have a great Monday.
P.S.- Kellen and I started a new blog for football and tailgating purposes. It will be all about this football season and I (becca) will be using it to plan out our tailgating festivities. http://farmerfootball.blogspot.com ENJOY!
